Bonheiden, Opglabbeek, work, autumn, etc...

27.09.2018

Bonheiden was the last outdoor show, mostly nice weather but last day was 12 degrees and full rain storm. So happy that the indoor season is starting! Bonheiden was great for the rest. My new horse Mystique jumped 3 great rounds and was placed in 7th and 8th place. This little lady comes from Ireland and i'm very happy welcoming her to the team. She's a 8yo mare by. Vechta(Voltaire)-Baloubet du Rouet. Indiana was also jumping good the whole weekend with just some unlucky 4 faults but stil doing really good rounds. Diva jumped the 1.50 LR class on Friday with 4 faults at the end. On Sunday she did an amazing round in the 1.50/1.55 3* GP with a clear round!! In the jump off we had the last fence down but I'm so happy and grateful to have this horse!

Last week i was in Sentower with Diva, Indiana and Quincia. Quincia was a little bit rusty the first days but she finished off with a nice clear round in the Final and ended on 9th place:) Indiana jumped great this week with 2 clear rounds in 1.40 classes and then she did the 2* GP and jumped fantastic with only 1 unlucky rail. Very happy to have her up at this level again:) Diva never disappoints me and she jumped amazing:) Thursday clear in the GP qualifier. And on Friday she jumped the 1.45 LR class and ended on 4th place out of 99 riders and 28 in the jump off!! I chickened out a bit on the last line and did 7 strides instead of 6. But she did't touch a rail the whole week <3

This week is a bit more quiet week and we are focusing on getting some of the young horses out. On Tuesday we went to Katsbek with some of theme and on Saturday we take 10 horses to Peelbergen. Very happy to have both Johanna and Julia to help me educate and show the young ones. Julia is a nice new edition to our team. She's a very talented young rider with lots of ambition and positive attitude. She already started with a few of the young ones and she will take 3 of theme to Peelbergen this week. She's also riding our youngest girl Prada 3 years old. She's only ridden 4-5 times but can already canter alone and have been outside riding!

The last couple of months i have been training with Bassem from Qatar who is based with Jan Tops. I'm so happy for this help and my horses have changed so much in a short time. There is so much planning and building up to get theme to that next level. I feel my riding have improved a lot and specially my flatwork. I'm not nerves going into a big class because i feel both me and the horses can do it and we are ready for it:)

Next week we go to Lier with Diva, Indiana, Mystique and Cartouche. I like this show a lot. Always good organised, good restaurant and a nice big indoor. Cartouche will do her first show since Lanaken. this little lady is something very special. So much talent and quality, can't wait for next year with her.

Autumn is coming and summer is almost over. So far the weather haven't been to bad but i'm dreading the winter! Everyone thinks because we are Swedish we are used to the cold. But i promise you never get used to that.. The best part thou is sitting inside with candles and a good book or movie;)

Diva from the LR class and 4th place!
