Oliva, Spain, Back to the cold..

25.02.2018

Hi!

Last day in Spain and then back to the cold.

Oliva have been an amazing 3 weeks were all horses have been jumping great rounds and developed a lot. For me the best moment was when me and Quinn came 12th in the 1.45 LR class @ the 3* GP qualifier. We have been working so hard for this and she jumped absolutely amazing. We did qualify for the 3* GP today but i choose not to ride since she has been jumping so good during these 3 weeks and i felt one more GP would have been to much. We have gotten a lot of help from Bassem (from Qatar), he have changed my whole warm up and made me work her in a completely different way. I'm so excited now to keep building her up for the rest of the season and hopefully we can have many more success like that and also in bigger classes.

Florida (8yo) have made a step up and made a few clear rounds in 2-3* 1.40 classes. He has learned a lot and i'm looking forward to the coming shows with this scopy and talented young guy.

Except these 2 older horses we also had 4 young horses with us. 6yo Cleo (Clintissimo-Lord Z) who jumped 7/9 clear rounds. This cool guy have only been jumping under the saddle since september last year and had only jumped one 1.15 before arriving to Spain. He has developed fantastic and i think he has a very bright future a head of him. 6yo Avicii (Cristallo II-Lord Z) also developed many clear rounds and jumped a beautiful clear round in one of the 6yo Finals. Cibeau (7yo Cabrio vd Heffinck-Fruhling) came here as a very green and unexperienced horses but this tour have been fantastic for him. He jumped some really good clear rounds and this very careful guy is ready for the rest of the season. Last but for sure not least is one of my new favorites, Ayade Hero Z (7yo Aganix du Seigner-HH Radco). This girl is such a future star and i'm very lucky to gotten the chance to ride her. She came to me just 2 days before leaving to Spain. She has had 2 foals and given 3 embryos so her time in the sport has still been really short. But wow what a talented horse. From the first jumps i absolutely loved her! She has so much quality and ability. Whoever will get the pleasure to have the ride on her in the future i'm sure will be a very lucky rider. She did some super rounds here in Spain and managed to catch the eye of many.

A big thank you to my long time groom Fonz who have done an amazing job with all the horses and made sure that i can focus on my riding. He takes super care of them and makes sure they are always looking and feeling the best.

Thank you to everyone at home for taking care of everything and making sure that i don't have to worry about the horses at home. You are all doing a great job! Johanna, Daisy, Mandy and Ulrike thank you:)

Mixed feelings to go home. We have had a great time here with so many new and old friends. Looking forward to go home to the horses at home but not to the cold..

Have a great Sunday everyone and take care of each other;)
