Quinn, young horses, shows...

29.03.2018

As many of you probable has seen Quinn (Quinlouette) is my absolute favourite and special horse.  She has been with me now for more then 2 years. It haven't always been a straight road and i have been close to selling her many times. When she came to me it was as a purpose to sell her. She was a bit spooky and tensed horse and jumped in her own way. We had some success in 1.35-1.40 classes but not so much more. After a few months i did buy her myself and today i'm so happy for that.

Now at 11 years old she starts to jump better and better with clear rounds and placings in 1.45 LR classes and hopefully even bigger soon. I have been thinking many times to sell her but then i keep remembering myself why i do this. Why i work so hard and put the horses before everything. I absolutely love what i do! There is always ups and downs and bumps along the road. But in the end of the day we all do this life because of the love for the horses. For sure we need to sell some of them to survive and get the business running. But we must also remember the fun and the joy they bring to us!

Quinn did a great show in Lier last week with a clear in the GP qualifier and 14th place the first day and also a clear the 2nd day in the 1.45 LR class. In the GP i came a bit to quick into a double but for the rest she jumped super! Florida (8yo by. Indorado) also did 2 super clear rounds being 7th and 11th and only 4 faults in the 1.40 Final. 7yo Quincia (Quaprice du Bois Margot) haven't been with me to a international show since the World Championships for Young Horses last year as a 6yo. But she did it like a real superstar with 3 clear rounds and placed 12th, 5th and 10th;)

On Tuesday me and Johanna took 2 groups of young horses to Koningsbosch for some training. They all jumped very good. On our youtube you can see some of the videos.

This week will be a quiet week with only a small show for the young ones. Then after that it's 2 weeks of CSI3* Lanaken! I'm really looking forward to this nice show and i hope our form from last week will continue.

Daylight (5yo Diamant de Semilly-Quidam de Revel) will also leave us this week for his new owners! We wish him all the best and success with his new owners:)

Happy Easter Everyone!
